The Photo Shoot of 2009

The one where we froze out butts off! OK lets just say that I didn't plan well. Sunday night I realized that we didn't have a picture of the four of us recently meaning if we didn't get it done before Thursday it would not get done due to Jareds surgery. He was less than thrilled pre-surgery I didn't want to attempt to try it post. Therefore Tuesday was the big day and my dear friend Stephanie was my accomplice in getting "just one decent picture" (those were my exact words, I was being realistic). :) She did a great job but the boys couldn't have been less cooperative. Here are the results.

We ended up using this one cropped to our top half and with the caption "May your Christmas be more merry than Alex & Eli are in this picture". :)

Love this one!

Adorable!

So there you have it. I'd like to think of it as a tutorial on what NOT to do when taking Christmas photos. Don't 1) wait until the last minute 2) pick a 20 degrees day etc. etc. etc.

Thanks Stephanie. You did a great job! :)

Those are so cute:) Always lucky if you get one of the two of them actually looking at the camera, I'm sure:) Happy Monday!

Taking pictures of the kids is one of life's "ultimate challenges"- I have 3 kids and getting a posed picture where they all are looking at the camera and smiling (or at least looking pleasant) is...NON EXISTENT! :) Your pictures came out great though- love the one of the boys walking together!

Aww they came out great! I think the ones with "personality" are always better than the forced, staged ones. I love them!
p.s. - thank you for your comment to my meltdown :)

Y'all did great! Really, it is so hard to get young ones to cooperate. Or, you can do like me and completely give up on Christmas pictures of the kids together. LOL

I thought it was normal to take pics in the freezing cold. Here in Colorado, unless you take them in summer, you are bound to get a cold day the ONE day you decide to do them for Christmas :o)
